About Patrick

I began my teaching career at the age of 16 working for a charity in Romania. Since then, I have always partook in teaching charities, even supporting children in Great Ormond St Hospital, quite simply for the enjoyment of helping young people. Whilst at university, I worked for a charity which helped tutor struggling children from less financially abled backgrounds to gain access to free tuition. I found the effectiveness of tuition to be amazing, especially as I had not experienced any 1-1 tuition growing up. My desire was to then focus on becoming a tutor, rather than pursuing a career in schools.
In 2015, I began working as a house-visiting tutor, but have mainly been working online in the last few years. Since then, I have logged over 5000+ hours of tuition working with children from all over the world to achieve their dreams and reach their potential!

About the lesson

My area of expertise is the 11+, 13+ and entrance exams. I have a deep knowledge of most UK entrance exams. This spans from the Grammar, State and Independant, the different types of exam format, such as ISEB, CAT, GL, CEM and the different internal exams independent schools use. Furthermore, I teach all subjects associated, from Maths, English, VR, Non-VR and Science. I also have many resources and accounts on websites such as Atom Learning, Twinkl, and many CGP books and online resources, all of which I am happy to share. I do also have the ability to support with GCSE English, knowing all the plays, books and poetry studied, as well as skills building for the Language paper.
