About Eric
I am a professional trumpet performer and educator with over 20 years of high-level industry experience. Over the course of my career, I have had the privilege of performing with world-class ensembles, including the National Ballet of Canada, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, the Canadian Opera Company, and the Israel Philharmonic.
Holding a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto Faculty of Music and an MBA from the Rotman School of Management, I combine deep artistic tradition with a structured, professional approach to teaching. My own training under legendary brass masters—including Armando Ghitalla and Gilbert Johnson—gave me a profound understanding of tone, technique, and performance psychology that I share directly with my students.
Beyond performance, I have served as Board President for Tapestry New Opera and dedicated time as a mentor through Big Brothers. Whether preparing students for conservatory exams or guiding young musicians on their journey, I bring patience, clear structure, and a deep passion for inspiring musical excellence.

With over 20 years of professional performance experience—including 15 years with the National Ballet of Canada and appearances with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra—I bring real-world stage experience directly into our studio. Trained by world-renowned mentors like Armando Ghitalla and Gilbert Johnson, I focus on effortless technique, rich tone production, and expressive musicality.
