About Aaron

I have spent five years learning Spanish, beginning with my first Spanish class in 8th grade and continuing through advanced coursework. I earned a 5 on the AP Spanish Language and Culture exam and, while still in high school, took SPAN 3160 and SPAN 3170 at Western Michigan University. These experiences have given me a strong foundation in Spanish grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and conversation.

I am currently a freshman at the University of Michigan studying engineering while continuing to take Spanish courses. In addition to my academic experience, I have a strong passion for traveling to Spanish-speaking countries and experiencing the language and cultures firsthand. I have traveled to Spain, Mexico, and Guatemala, which has allowed me to practice Spanish in real-world settings and deepen my appreciation for the language.

My five years of studying Spanish and my experiences traveling in Spanish-speaking countries have given me a strong appreciation for the language and culture. I am excited to share that passion with students and help them become more confident and comfortable using Spanish.

About the lesson

I am passionate about the Spanish language, and I am excited to share my knowledge and help students improve their Spanish skills. Before each tutoring session, I will create an outline (agenda) highlighting the main areas we will work together to improve. Depending on the student’s goals and level, lessons may focus on vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, reading, writing, conversation, or translation. I will explain the relevant concepts, provide examples, and give students opportunities to practice speaking and applying what they learn while providing guidance and corrections when needed.

My Spanish tutoring sessions are available to students of all levels who want to improve their Spanish. Whether you are just beginning to learn Spanish, need help with a Spanish class, or simply want to become more comfortable speaking the language, I strive to make each lesson engaging, personalized, and focused on building both your skills and confidence.
