About Samed

My academic background is solid and rich in knowledge. I started my course by following a preparatory year in mathematics at Saint Louis, Brussels, where I acquired a solid foundation in this essential subject. Subsequently, I continued my studies in civil engineering in electromechanics at the ULB, where I consolidated my technical skills.

But that's not all, I also chose to deepen my expertise by specializing in mechatronics thanks to a double degree program, offered jointly by the VUB and the ULB. This training allowed me to develop an in-depth understanding of the interdisciplinary fields related to these subjects.

In addition, I have accumulated several years of experience as a private tutor with renowned companies such as My Sherpa. My teaching approach is tailored to each student, and I have helped many students improve their academic performance and gain confidence.

About the lesson

Here is an explanation of how a class session takes place with me as a private teacher of mathematics, physics and chemistry:

1. Welcome and review: Each session begins with a warm welcome, where I take the time to discuss with the student and the parents to understand if there are specific questions or topics to be addressed in priority. We also review the key concepts covered in the last session to ensure continuity in learning.

2. Needs assessment: Before starting the course, I do a quick assessment of the student's skills and shortcomings in the subjects concerned. This allows me to personalize the teaching approach according to the specific needs of the student.

3. Explanation of concepts: I approach the new concepts to be learned in a clear and understandable way for the student. I use concrete examples and appropriate analogies to facilitate understanding.

4. Practical exercises: After explaining the concepts, we move on to practice. I offer exercises adapted to the level of the student, ranging from simple exercises to more complex challenges. I encourage him to solve problems on his own while remaining available to answer his questions and guide him if necessary.

5. Correction and feedback: Once the student has completed the exercises, we correct them together. I take this opportunity to provide him with constructive feedback on his possible errors and explain the best approach for the next times.

6. Deepening the notions: If the student masters the concepts covered, we can go further by exploring related topics or solving more advanced problems to stimulate their interest and curiosity.

7. Summary and action plan: At the end of the session, we take a moment to summarize what has been learned and the progress made. I also propose an action plan for future sessions, identifying the topics to be reinforced and the specific objectives to be achieved.

8. Follow-up and communication: Between sessions, I remain available to answer the student's questions by e-mail or any other means of communication agreed with the parents. I am also open to communicating regularly with parents to keep them informed of their child's progress and to discuss any concerns or possible adjustments in the educational approach.

In short, my lesson sessions are designed to be interactive, personalized and adapted to the learning pace of each student. My goal is to create a positive and encouraging learning environment where the student feels supported and confident in their abilities to progress in science subjects.
