About Mia

Eight years of teaching guitar has shown me that the best results come from lessons that respect each student’s individuality and nurture their passion. I start by understanding your musical preferences, goals, and learning style, which helps me design lessons that feel both engaging and achievable. I focus on core technical skills such as chord transitions, finger dexterity, rhythm, and dynamics, but I also emphasize creativity and expression, helping students connect emotionally to the music. I use songs that resonate with each student to maintain motivation and provide practical applications of theory and technique. One of my proudest moments was helping a student overcome early frustrations and build enough confidence to perform an original song at a community event. These breakthroughs remind me why teaching is such a rewarding profession. I incorporate a variety of learning tools—visual aids, backing tracks, apps, and theory exercises—to accommodate different learning preferences. I also teach performance skills and improvisation to prepare students for playing live and exploring their unique musical voice. My lessons are designed to build skills gradually while fostering a lifelong love of music. Whether you want to jam with friends, compose your own pieces, or take the stage, I am here to help you reach your full potential on the guitar.

About the lesson

I believe learning Guitar should be a creative and supportive experience. That’s why I use real-life music situations and case studies to make lessons practical and engaging. I don’t just teach what to play – I show you how to apply it to real music you enjoy.

Motivation is a big part of my teaching. I help students believe in themselves and keep going, even when progress feels slow. Every lesson is built to make you feel more confident and inspired.

I use problem-solving in all lessons. If you're stuck with finger placement, timing, or learning a difficult riff, I help you find solutions step by step. You’ll learn to fix mistakes and grow stronger as a player.

I teach with integrity – I’m always honest, respectful, and patient. I believe in building trust, and I make sure you fully understand what you're learning. You’ll get clear feedback and consistent support.

I’m also very flexible. If you’re a visual learner, I’ll use videos and diagrams. If you prefer hands-on learning, we’ll spend more time playing. I adjust the pace and style based on your needs.

In addition to Guitar, I can teach other music-related subjects, including rhythm, songwriting basics, and music performance tips. No matter your level, I’ll help you grow into a confident, expressive guitarist.
