Based off of my student’s (his or her) ability, I would either start off by showing them some basic open chords (or if they’re already familiar with the rudimentary / fundamental stuff), I would start showing them more complicated things. How to improvise using the pentatonic scale and things like that. Basically whatever they are interested in learning (based off of their favorite bands / artists) I’ll work on giving them a template to start diving into particular material. Whether it be a specific song, or anything else.
