I am writing this recommendation for Dr. Chandrasekhar, who has been a wonderful teacher for me since I have known him. I had the opportunity to work with Dr. Chandrasekhar while conducting retrospective research studies. At the time, I was inexperienced in both working at a lab and conducting research. This did not prove to be a huge problem however as Dr. Chandrasekhar was a kind and patient teacher. He provided me with a structured environment to learn about the various studies we were doing, what it was like to work in a lab, and how to write a retrospective research paper. Dr. Chandrashekhar is very knowledgeable about his field of study and he answered any questions that I had patiently and concisely. I learned a lot from him and am grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him.
Dr. Chandrasekhar was an exceptional teacher for me who consistently demonstrated qualities such as dedication, and hard work. What set Dr. Chandrashekhar apart for me was his willingness to help me learn. If I did not understand something he would find another was to teach me the material so that I would be able to remember the material and later apply what I had learned. He encouraged me throughout the time I worked with him and I became a better researcher because of it.

1. He was teaching Master’s graduate genetics course Subject and Lab Course (that spanned for 6 Semesters) and assisted junior msc, mphil and PhD students.
2. During his teaching, he provided in-depth solid foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of genetics. The course covered key concepts, including Mendelian inheritance, gene expression, genetic mutations, and advanced topics like molecular genetics and genomics.

Dr. Chandrasekhar is an incredible person who is extremely patient and kind when it comes to working with students. He lets you try to work out things on your own, but will help you when you feel stuck. Adding on, he is extremely knowledgable and passionate when it comes to molecular biology and wants all of his students to thrive and achieve everything they will aim towards.
