About Arjan
I've been playing tennis since I was 7 years old and have over 20 years of experience with the sport. I actively compete in tournaments and currently play at a 5.5 NTRP level. Throughout my tennis journey, I've worked with players of all ages and skill levels, from complete beginners learning the fundamentals to advanced players preparing for competition.
Whether you're looking to improve your technique, consistency, footwork, strategy, or overall confidence on the court, I will create a structured plan to help you progress.
In addition to coaching, I also offer high-quality hitting sessions for players who want to practice match play, rally consistency, and point construction. My goal is to make lessons enjoyable, challenging, and focused on helping you become a better tennis player.
I graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

Hi, I'm Arjan, a competitive tennis player with over 20 years of experience in the sport. I've been playing tennis since the age of 7 and continue to actively compete in tournaments today. My current NTRP rating is 5.5, and I regularly train and compete against high-level players.
Whether you're picking up a racket for the first time, looking to improve your consistency, or preparing for competitive play, I can help you reach your goals through personalized coaching and hitting sessions.
My lessons focus on:
• Stroke technique (forehand, backhand, serve, volleys)
• Footwork and movement
• Match strategy and point construction
• Consistency and shot selection
• Mental approach and confidence on court
• Tournament preparation and competitive play
I work with players of all ages and levels, from complete beginners to advanced tournament competitors. I also offer hitting sessions for players who want high-quality practice and live-ball training.
Having competed for many years, I understand not only the technical side of tennis but also what it takes to perform under pressure and continue improving over the long term.
