About Arslan
My name is Muhammad Arslan, and I am a dedicated Quran tutor from Pakistan. I completed my specialized Quran and Tajweed education from Madrasat-ul-Madinah, Bahawalnagar. Teaching the Holy Quran is my true passion, and I have valuable practical experience in guiding students face-to-face. I always create a supportive environment to help my students recite accurately with complete confidence.
1) When did you develop an interest in your chosen field and in private tutoring?
"My passion for teaching the Quran stems from a deep desire to help others connect with the Holy Book. I have always found great peace in reading and understanding the Quran, and I realized that my true calling is to share this knowledge with others. I transitioned into private tutoring to provide students with the focused, one-on-one attention needed to recite and understand the Quran correctly."
2) Tell us more about the subject you teach, the topics you like to discuss with students (and possibly those you like a little less).
"I teach Quranic studies, including Tajweed (proper recitation) and basic Islamic teachings. I love discussing the lessons and moral stories found within the Quran, as they provide practical guidance for daily life. I believe every student learns at a different pace, so I enjoy exploring the beauty of Arabic phonetics with them. There isn't any part of the Quran I like 'less,' but I do focus more on the foundations first, as a strong base is essential for a student’s long-term success."
3) Did you have any role models; a teacher that inspired you?
"Yes, my early teachers were my biggest inspiration. Their patience and the way they emphasized the sanctity and correct pronunciation of every word left a lasting impact on me. They taught me that a teacher is a guide who must lead by example, kindness, and devotion."
4) What do you think are the qualities required to be a good tutor?
"A good Quran tutor must possess immense patience, a kind demeanor, and a deep sense of responsibility. Since we are dealing with a sacred subject, being approachable and encouraging is vital so that students feel comfortable asking questions and overcoming their hesitations."
5) Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.
"I remember my own early days of learning when I struggled with a specific rule of Tajweed. My teacher remained incredibly patient, repeating it until I finally got it right. That experience taught me that with persistence and the right guidance, any student can master the recitation, no matter how difficult it seems initially."
6) What were the difficulties or challenges you faced or still facing in your subject?
"The main challenge is often helping students overcome the fear of making mistakes in pronunciation. Some students feel discouraged if they struggle with certain sounds. My role is to create a supportive environment where mistakes are seen as a part of the learning process, helping them gain the confidence to recite beautifully."
7) Do you have a particular passion? Is it teaching in general or an element of the subject or something completely different?
"My passion is teaching the Quran specifically. Helping a student progress from not knowing the alphabet to reciting the Quran with proper Tajweed is a deeply fulfilling journey for me. It is more than just a subject; it is about helping a person build a lifelong bond with the Quran."

I am a passionate Quran teacher with 2+ years of teaching experience in Quran recitation, Tajweed, Translation, and basic Tafseer. I have taught students of all ages, including children,, and adults, helping them improve their recitation, pronunciation, understanding, and connection with the Quran.
I have experience teaching students from different backgrounds and learning levels. My teaching style is simple, patient, and personalized, so every student can learn comfortably at their own pace. I also adjust class timings according to students’ availability and support them in exam preparation.
