About Caroline

I am a native speaker with over 20 years’ experience as a French teacher. I have a passion for languages and a desire to communicate with people and learn about other cultures. I love teaching and helping people progressing and realising their true potential.
Now that my child has grown up and left the nest, I work from home. I love learning languages and teaching my own. I am proud to say that after years of practice, I am completely bi-lingual! I have a wealth of experience and expertise and will guide you to improve your skills (listening, reading, speaking or writing) and make you a better linguist!

Bonjour! I am a very experienced teacher and have taught GCSE for over twenty years – in private, grammar and comprehensive secondary schools. I am a specialist in AQA GCSE French (all components, including speaking exam prep) but can teach any other exam board, as well as conversational French classes. I have an enhanced DBS on the Update Service.
I am very lively, energetic and want you to improve your French. I use a variety of teaching methods, and tailor them to your needs. I focus on vocabulary building, repetition, grammar, pronunciation and give you an insight into French culture and the ‘je ne sais quoi’ that French people have. I would like to think that my lessons are enjoyable, interactive and that you will leave the session, reassured that you have learnt something new or mastered a concept that you didn’t get before.

I am happy to offer 1:1 session- online or in person (Rugby/Daventry areas), hosted from my home. I charge £28/ hour.
If you want me to travel to you in Rugby I will charge an extra £2.00. It will be free if you are local to me.
