About Amani

Hi! I'm Amani and I have just completed an MSc in Clinical Psychology at UCL. Having graduated with a 2:1 in Psychology from the University of Warwick, and achieving A*AA in Biology, English Literature and Psychology A-Level, I am passionate and well-equipped in all three subjects. It is essential to me as a tutor to create a comfortable and productive environment for my pupils, so together we can reach the full potential that I know every student is capable of. I pride myself in being friendly and approachable, and aim to make each pupil feel they can ask me about any aspect of the subject they’re struggling with, and to feel like no question is a stupid question. I understand that everyone works at different rates, and I'm willing to work with each pupil for how ever long it takes to reach their desired goal. I also understand that everyone learns differently, so I intend to adapt my teaching to whatever best suits each individual, to give them the optimum chance of success. At the start, I'll discuss with each student the key areas they want to improve on, and will set goals, to give our sessions a clear sense of direction and focus. I aim for this to give each pupil motivation for the subject, and confidence in themselves, so that they feel no obstacle is too big. From my own educational journey, I understand personally what students struggle with, particularly the difficulty of not being able to grasp specific concepts, and nailing exam technique. I aim to instil a sense of confidence into each student for their particular subject, so they are able to conquer their exams to the best of their potential and gain a deeper understanding and passion for the subject.
