About Kiyoshi
I have a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education & Coaching with a minor in Kinesiology and an interest in Sport Psychology. During my time in undergraduate studies I also became a Nationally certified wrestling coach with Wrestling Canada, and taught Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu to teens and adults.
I am also familiar the gear and apparel side of MMA/Kickboxing/BJJ/Wrestling, and can help you navigate that world.

I approach my classes with the application of physics and physiology (a.k.a. biomechanics) so the user may work smarter rather than harder. I have taught to many levels of experience, and love to see students progress! Not every individual with their unique style will use every move I teach, rather I encourage experimentation to make a move uniquely their own. What works for a heavyweight can work for a lightweight, but not without some modification. I also encourage heavy use of the basics as a foundation to build off of.
No student should be a carbon-copy of their instructor, and no instructor should feel threatened by the progress of their students.
