About Jeremy
Basketball has been a lifelong passion of mine, both as a player and a student of the game. I grew up playing competitive basketball, winning an OBA Provincial Championship and earning recognition as a Silver Fox First Team All-Star and Hamilton Catholic All-Star. I also had the opportunity to briefly play professionally in Hong Kong.
A big reason I want to coach today is to teach players the things I wish I had understood when I was younger. As I've gotten older, I've continued learning the game and gained access to training methods, resources, and perspectives that have changed the way I look at basketball. Looking back, I realize how much of a difference the small details could have made in my own development—from footwork and body positioning to body language, confidence, decision-making, and understanding why certain techniques work.
That's the knowledge and perspective I want to pass on to other players.
My coaching philosophy is built around positive energy, adaptability, and communication. I want players to feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and challenging themselves. I'll meet each player where they are and help them better understand their game, develop their skills, and build confidence on and off the court.
Whether you're new to basketball or already playing competitively, my goal is to help you become a more skilled, confident, and knowledgeable player—and hopefully teach you some of the things I wish someone had taught me earlier.

Every player is different, so I believe their training should be too.
Our first session will begin with an assessment through a variety of basketball drills to understand your current skill level, strengths, and areas for improvement. From there, we'll talk about your goals—whether that's becoming a more consistent shooter, improving your offensive game, developing stronger fundamentals, becoming a better defender, or simply building more confidence on the court.
I'll then tailor future sessions and drills around those goals while continuing to build on your strengths.
My coaching focuses heavily on the small details that can make a big difference: footwork, balance, body positioning, shooting mechanics, movement, and decision-making. Rather than simply going through drills, I want players to understand why we're working on something and how it translates to real game situations.
Most importantly, I want training to be positive, engaging, and fun. My goal is to create an environment where players are comfortable learning, making mistakes, asking questions, and challenging themselves as they become more confident in their game.
