About Dr Yoonsook
I am a professional pianist and dedicated piano educator with a DMA in Piano Performance and over 20 years of teaching experience. My musical training includes piano performance, piano pedagogy, and chamber music, and I have taught students from preschool age through college as well as many adult learners.
As both a performer and teacher, I believe music should be more than simply learning notes and playing the right keys. My goal is to help each student develop solid technique, musical understanding, confidence, and their own unique voice at the piano. I enjoy working with students who have different personalities, learning styles, and goals, whether they are just beginning, preparing for auditions or competitions, returning to piano after many years, or simply looking for a meaningful and enjoyable way to make music.
I bring a patient, encouraging, and personalized approach to every lesson. I also remain an active performer through solo and collaborative piano, including my work with the Dunamis Piano Duo. I love sharing the joy of music and helping students discover that piano can become a rewarding part of their lives at any age.

With a DMA in Piano Performance and over 20 years of teaching experience, I create personalized lessons that fit each student’s goals, interests, and learning style. We will build strong musical skills while developing confidence, creativity, and a genuine love for playing the piano.
