About Seya
Music has been an important part of my life since childhood, and over the years I have continued to develop my piano skills and musical knowledge through dedicated study and college-level music courses. As an educator with more than 15 years of teaching experience, I have worked with children, college students, and adult learners in both classroom and online settings.
I hold a master's degree in education from California State University, Los Angeles. There, I further developed my teaching skills and strengthened my ability to adapt to different learning styles, allowing me to help students achieve their goals with confidence. These skills allow me to tailor each lesson to the student's pace, learning style, and musical goals.
I believe every student can succeed with patient guidance, consistent encouragement, and well-structured instruction.
Whether you are learning piano for the first time or looking to strengthen your understanding of music theory, I am committed to providing a supportive, professional, and enjoyable learning experience.

Learning the piano should be both enjoyable and rewarding. My goal is to help students develop confidence and build a strong foundation in piano performance and music theory through patient, structured, and encouraging lessons.
Each lesson is personalized according to the student's age, experience, learning style, and individual goals. A typical lesson may include reviewing previous practice, developing essential skills such as note reading, rhythm, music theory, proper technique, and coordination, and applying these skills through musical pieces that are appropriate for the student's level.
For beginners, I focus on creating a comfortable learning environment where students can progress step by step while developing good habits from the beginning. Whether you are a child taking your first piano lessons or an adult beginning a new musical journey, I strive to make each lesson engaging, organized, and enjoyable.
My goal is not only to help students learn how to play the piano, but also to help them understand and appreciate music while developing skills that will support their continued growth.
Recommendations
Recommendations come from relatives, friends and acquaintances of the tutor.
I had the opportunity to learn piano with Seya, and she was a very patient, knowledgeable, and supportive teacher. She introduced me to the basics of music theory from the very beginning and patiently taught me how to read notes, use the correct fingering, and practice properly.
What I appreciated most was her patience and the way she guided me step by step. When I first started learning to read music, it seemed very difficult to me, and I honestly thought I would never be able to read notes and play a melody on my own. However, with her guidance and encouragement, I gradually developed the skills and confidence to do it.
One of the most rewarding moments for me was when I was finally able to read the notes correctly and play a beautiful melody. It was something I had thought was beyond my ability when I first started, so accomplishing it was a wonderful and enjoyable experience.
I am very grateful for everything she taught me and would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a patient, knowledgeable, and encouraging piano teacher. My son worked with Seya as his high-school Algebra tutor for four months, and we were very happy with her support. She helped him with topics such as quadratic functions, rational functions, polynomials, and graphing.
What we appreciated most was her patient, step-by-step approach. She did not simply give my son the answers to his homework. Instead, she worked through each problem with him, asked questions, and helped him understand the reasoning behind each step. She also adapted her explanations whenever he had difficulty understanding a concept.
Over the four months, we saw a noticeable improvement in both his understanding of Algebra and his grades. She was always patient and encouraging when he struggled, which helped him become more confident in working through problems.
We would definitely recommend Seya to other students and parents looking for a knowledgeable, patient, and supportive Algebra tutor.View more recommendations
