If you are interested in an English language tutor with energy, experience and a teaching style that puts YOU FIRST - you have found him! Please allow me to introduce myself - I hope you are sat comfortably!

I am a fully qualified teacher with over 3 years of classroom experience and over 500 hours of online experience. I have an unwavering passion for EFL and English learning and it is my intention to inject JOY and LAUGHTER into language learning by offering engaging, interactive and personal programmes that highlight areas of improvement in your English. From Grammar and Writing to Speaking and Reading, there is no limit to what we can achieve together!

And now, the formal stuff!

Prior to the commencement of my PGCE in 2019, I had completed my 120-hour TEFL accreditation, along with ‘Teaching Mindfulness to Young Learners’, and had spent over a year working in Hong Kong as an EFL Head Teacher in an extra-curricular learning centre for affluent families looking to refine their children’s English capabilities. A mouthful!

Throughout the week, I would teach my regular classes, which were comparatively smaller in size to that of the UK (up to 6 students per class). The content of the lessons would range from ‘Beginner Phonics’ (ABS’s) through to ‘Grammar and Creative Writing’ (sentence structure and story writing). I was also responsible for teaching and assessments of Cambridge English and Trinity Oral examinations.

Teaching and working as part of a multi-cultural and multi-lingual system allowed me to develop patience and a level of empathy that I deem ESSENTIAL for understanding the needs of EFL learners.

I have worked in primary schools within the UK, focusing predominantly on KS2 learning with English projects and English second language students as a focus of my work.

It is from the combined experience of teaching in Hong Kong and within the UK education system that I was able to construct my own personal and tailormade curriculum plans for ANY AND ALL AGES.
I have worked closely with students ranging from 6-year-old to 17 years old, developing every facet of their English.

My lessons will offer you the opportunity to have fun. All the English taught in my lessons is relatable and designed to help you in the REAL WORLD. English is not just about writing and spelling. You need to be able to USE IT in EVERYDAY LIFE. This is how we will improve.
