About Harry
I am a qualified Electrical and Electronic Engineer with a Postgraduate Diploma in Railway Engineering and over 20 years of professional experience in leading engineering organisations, including Network Rail. I achieved A grades in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry at A-level and hold a strong academic foundation in STEM subjects. After completing my degree, I taught Maths and Physics face-to-face to a small group of students. One of my students developed such a passion for Physics that they went on to become a pilot—a testament to the lasting impact of personalised teaching. My approach combines clear explanations with real-world examples, making complex concepts easier to understand. I am passionate about supporting GCSE students in Maths and Physics and tailoring lessons to their individual needs.

Lesson Structure Each lesson is one hour long and broken down into chunks to make it easy for students to assimilate: Theory - Clear and simple explanation of each topic in the curriculum Examples - Simple examples of questions to explain the theory in practice. This includes real life scenarios where it is possible to explain the theory in that way. Practice questions - This part includes questions from past exams and revision books for students to attempt followed by a discussion on the right approach(es) to resolve each question. Teaching Style I am very patient and I will adapt to the pace of learning of each student. I provide clear explanations of each topic of discussion and where applicable use real-life examples to demonstrate the importance of the topic. Interactive methods will be used such as problem solving, visual aids, and past papers. Resources There will be enough resources supplied to cover each subject, including past papers, worksheets etc. Tuition will most likely be via Teams. Availability Evenings from 5 pm - 8pm Monday to Friday Weekends from 9am - 5pm
