About Sabryna

I am a TESL-certified ESL/ELL and EAP instructor with an Honors Bachelor of Arts in Adult Education. I currently teach at the college level and have experience supporting learners from a variety of educational, cultural, and language backgrounds. In addition to my teaching experience, I am a former paralegal, which allows me to confidently support students who need help with legal, academic, or professional English.

My teaching approach is student-centered and goal-oriented. I believe learners make the most progress when lessons are engaging, practical, and tailored to their individual needs. I focus on developing the four core language skills—reading, writing, listening, and speaking—while building confidence and independence. Lessons are adapted to each student's learning style, strengths, and goals.

A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous learning, followed by targeted instruction on a specific skill or language concept. Students then participate in guided practice activities before applying their learning independently through conversation, reading, writing, or problem-solving tasks. I provide ongoing feedback and strategies that students can use outside of our lessons to continue improving.

What sets me apart is my diverse professional background. My experience in education, legal services, and working with learners of different ages allows me to connect language learning to real-life situations. While I currently teach adults at the college level, I also have experience working with youth through volunteer roles and personal experience supporting young learners. I understand that every student learns differently and I strive to create a supportive environment where learners feel comfortable taking risks and growing their skills.
