About Philone
I’m a passionate ESL teacher from Jamaica, currently living in Canada. I love making learning fun and interactive, helping students feel confident and motivated. In my free time, I enjoy vlogging and reading, and I incorporate elements of my interests into my lessons to keep them engaging and lively. My teaching approach is dynamic and personalized, ensuring every student feels supported and challenged as they grow.

My lessons are engaging, interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and making mistakes, knowing they’re learning in a judgment-free zone. I use a variety of teaching methods—incorporating conversation practice, listening exercises, reading comprehension, and writing activities—so students can build their skills in all areas of language learning. I make sure each lesson is dynamic, incorporating real-world contexts and encouraging active participation. My focus is not just on grammar and vocabulary, but also on building confidence and making learning enjoyable.
