About Grace

I am an experienced GCSE Maths teacher with over five years of classroom teaching and private tutoring experience. I specialise in helping students improve their understanding, confidence and performance in Maths through structured, supportive and engaging lessons.

With a background in both education and psychology, I understand how mindset, motivation and exam pressure affect student performance. I use this insight to help learners overcome maths anxiety, build confidence and develop effective study habits alongside strong subject knowledge.

My approach is patient, clear and tailored to each individual student. I break down complex topics into simple steps, reinforce learning through practice, and focus on exam technique to ensure students are fully prepared for assessments.

I work with GCSE Maths students of all abilities, including those preparing for exams, resits or aiming to improve their grades significantly. Lessons are designed to be supportive, focused and results-driven, helping students reach their full potential in a calm and encouraging environment.

About the lesson

I am an experienced secondary school Maths teacher with over five years of teaching and tutoring experience, specialising in GCSE Maths support for students of all abilities. My lessons are designed not only to improve mathematical understanding, but also to build confidence, exam technique and independent problem-solving skills.

My teaching approach is patient, structured and tailored to each student’s individual learning style and academic goals. I break complex topics into simple, manageable steps and use clear explanations, guided practice and exam-style questions to strengthen understanding. I also focus heavily on identifying gaps in knowledge and helping students overcome maths anxiety and low confidence around exams.

With a background in psychology, I understand the importance of mindset, motivation and performance under pressure. I help students develop effective revision habits, improve concentration and approach exams with greater confidence.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes long and can be delivered online or in person in Nuneaton. I teach GCSE Maths students at Foundation and Higher level, as well as students preparing for mocks, resits and final exams. My aim is to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and steadily improving their grades and confidence.
