About Christopher
Having worked in the energy industry for 15 years, I decided to have a career change in 2017 to become a teacher. I took my PGCE teacher qualification during my first year of teaching and hold a BA in Geography from the University of Leeds. I also achieved 3 A's in my A levels many years ago!
I am also the proud father of a son who has just successfully completed his A levels, so have experienced the challenges of GCSE and A level from the parental perspective.

I provide tailored one-to-one tutoring sessions (1 hr sessions) designed to meet the individual needs and goals of each student. Whether the focus is developing subject knowledge and understanding of key theories, exploring fresh syllabus-linked case studies, improving exam technique, refining essay structure and writing skills, or creating effective revision plans, sessions are adapted to maximise progress and confidence. I also offer dedicated support for NEA coursework and EPQ projects, guiding students through planning, research, structure, and evaluation.
I have been classroom teaching and tutoring for 10 years and have experience and training of SEN provision. I have held a number of pastoral and academic roles including Head of Department and Head of House with Level 2 safeguarding accreditation.
My tutoring style is relaxed, approachable, and personable, creating a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, developing their skills, and reaching their full potential.
