About Barry
I have a deep passion for music. When I was younger I doubted my ability to even hold a guitar. But the feeling I felt when first playing a riff from one of my favorite songs was liberating and exhilarating. I have been in multiple bands and wrote countless songs. To make music brings me much joy and to enable others to learn to play and make their own music is just as fulfilling to me.

My lessons are available in English and Afrikaans and are aimed at beginner guitarists looking to learn how to play guitar and/or bass guitar as well as understanding the music theory behind it. You don’t need to know how to read sheet music. Rather be taught scales, chords and the laws that music theory has. Lessons would be more personalised towards the goals of the student to allow them to grow to be the kind of musician they want to be.
