About Brett

I am a certified High School Teacher with the Foothills School Division, and I have also taught in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia through my career.

Prior to becoming a teacher I worked as a chemist in an oil-and-gas service company lab, and travelled to Iraq to conduct lab testing and provide support for oil and gas operations in that country. I have a a unique blend of education and industry teaching experiences that few other instructors can match!

I look forward to meeting you and discussing your learning needs as you work towards mastering some of the most challenging courses in your Highschool careers!

About the lesson

In person lessons, homework help, or support with course assignments for students taking Highschool Math (10/20/30 level), Chemistry 20/30, and Physics 20/30.

Meetings can be in-person in Okotoks (Public Library) or online via video chat!

I am an experienced math/science teacher who has worked in the Oil and Gas Industry before I became a teacher. This industry experience sets me apart from other tutors and teachers as I have seen how a student's education can be applied in the world and I have a unique perspective on teaching as a result of my industry experience.

Before beginning any lessons, I like to meet with my student (and parents if desired) for a meet-and-greet. This first meeting is at no cost to you and it can be in-person or online via video chat.

My pricing includes not only the time spent working with students, but all of my prep-time outside of the tutoring sessions.

IMPORTANT: I cannot tutor students of the Foothills School Division, as it is a conflict of interest to both teach and tutor students in the same division.
