About Junko

I am a Japanese individual who has been living in England, UK for the past 17 years. During this time, I have been fortunate to have a wonderful husband and daughter who bring immense joy to my life. One of the aspects I truly cherish is my close connection with nature, as I find solace in its soothing sounds and appreciate the beauty it offers. Another passion of mine is cultivating and consuming fresh, homegrown vegetables, which brings me great satisfaction. In addition, I find great pleasure in listening to music and engaging in the sport of tennis, both of which provide me with a sense of relaxation and fulfilment.

Furthermore, I have taken the initiative to establish a social group aimed at fostering a sense of community and support. Through this group, I am able to contribute to the well-being of others by organizing events and activities that encourage interaction, personal growth, and the sharing of experiences.

Overall, I am grateful for the enriching experiences I have had living in England and the love and happiness that permeate my life.

About the lesson

With over 20 years of experience, I am a dedicated Japanese language instructor who has been teaching since the year 2000. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of teaching a diverse range of students from various backgrounds. This includes individuals from overseas who are eager to learn Japanese before their visit to Japan, business professionals working for major Japanese companies worldwide, students residing in the UK, and even retirees scattered across the globe.

I take pride in being highly adaptable to cater to your unique needs and preferences. Whether you prefer a structured approach with detailed grammar lectures or a more interactive and communicative practice, I can tailor my teaching methodology to suit your learning style. My role is that of a facilitator, guiding you on your personalized learning journey.

In addition to my teaching experience, I have worked at Japanese language schools in Japan and universities in Tokyo and the UK, where I had the opportunity to share my knowledge and expertise with students. Furthermore, I have served as an academic journal coordinator and JLPT (Japanese Language Proficiency Test) coordinator at a university in the UK, allowing me to stay abreast of the latest trends and developments in the field of Japanese language education.

I am truly passionate about teaching Japanese and helping my students achieve their language goals. With my extensive experience, versatile teaching approach, and commitment to providing a supportive learning environment, I am confident in my ability to guide you on your journey to mastering the Japanese language.

Perfect! My first lesson with Junko-sensei was great. She understood where my language skills were lacking, provided some useful new words and phrases which will help me on my travels and helped to improve my confidence speaking the language.

I enjoyed the lesson with him very much. He has a passion for learning Japanese and its culture. He talked to me about his favorite manga and its story in Japanese. I liked how he explained the characters. He also has a plan to go to Japan soon, and he looked very excited about traveling there. It was very nice that he made the best effort to talk about his plan in Japanese as well.

He has a decent vocabulary and knows some phrases, as well as basic sentence structures. I was particularly impressed by his pronunciation and natural intonation. He must have spent a lot of time listening to Japanese anime, and his good listening ability is likely due to him being a musician. I am sure he will speak even more in the future, but it won't take too long for him to improve.

The classes were fun and lively and Junko-Sensei was brilliant at adjusting material to all levels, setting realistic and achievable objectives and delivering them in a fun and exciting way. My usual lesson is 30 minutes long by webcam. Each 30 minutes long lesson will be £15. Lesson packs for 4 sessions will be £48.
