About Ronericka
Hi, I’m Ronericka – and I make math make sense. If math feels confusing, overwhelming, or just plain frustrating—you’re not alone. I’ve worked with so many students who felt the exact same way before we started working together. My job is to take all that stress off your shoulders and show you that yes, you absolutely can get the hang of this. I have a Master’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Texas at Austin, and I’ve spent years helping students from middle school through college understand math in a way that actually clicks. I break things down clearly, explain the “why” behind the steps, and make sure you feel supported the whole way through. My tutoring sessions are never rushed, never judgmental, and always focused on you. Whether you need help with algebra, prepping for a test, or catching up in class—I’ll meet you where you are and help you build real confidence, one lesson at a time. I’m patient, professional, and passionate about what I do. If you’re ready to stop feeling stuck and start feeling proud of your progress, I’d love to work with you.

My Approach to Math Tutoring
I believe anyone can learn math—it just takes the right approach, a little patience, and someone who can explain things in a way that actually makes sense. That’s exactly what I aim to do in every session.
My teaching style is calm, supportive, and flexible. I meet students where they are and adapt my explanations to fit how they learn best. Whether you’re a visual learner who needs diagrams or someone who needs to hear things a few different ways before it clicks, I’ve got you covered.
How I Teach
I break things down step-by-step, and I never move on until the student is truly comfortable with the material. I like to keep things interactive—we talk through problems together, ask questions, work out examples, and build confidence along the way.
I also believe in positive reinforcement. I want every student to feel good about learning, especially if they’ve struggled with math in the past.
What a Lesson Looks Like
A typical session lasts about an hour and goes something like this:
We start with a quick check-in—what’s been tricky lately, how you’re feeling, any homework questions.
Then we dig into the day’s topic. I’ll walk through examples and explain things in a way that feels approachable.
Next, we do practice together. I guide you through a few problems until it starts to feel natural.
You try a few on your own, with my support nearby.
We wrap up by reviewing key takeaways, and I’ll leave you with helpful tips or extra practice if needed.
No pressure, no rush—just steady progress.
What Makes Me Different
I don’t just teach math—I help students build a relationship with it. I’ve worked with learners who felt completely lost, and by the end of our time together, they were not only passing—they were actually enjoying the process. I have a Master’s degree in Mathematics, but I never try to sound overly technical. I care more about making things click than sounding smart.
Who I Work With
I tutor students from middle school through college, including:
Students struggling with math basics or falling behind in class
High schoolers prepping for tests like the SAT, ACT, TSI, or GED
College students taking algebra, calculus, or general math courses
Adults brushing up on math for work, school, or personal goals
If math feels stressful or confusing—I can help change that.
