Ever since I moved to my high school as a new student, Vera has always stood out to me as someone who many people looked up to. Her academic standing in school is outstanding, as well as her involvement within the school and community. She has been a part of many volunteer organizations working with young children, as well as takes on a great leadership role within the peer mentoring program at Burnaby Mountain Secondary School, where her teaching skills and interactions with her peers do not go unnoticed.
