About Sophia

Hi, I’m Sylvie, a passionate and approachable teacher who believes in making learning fun and meaningful. I’ve always loved diving deep into math, not just for the numbers but for the stories and connections they tell about the world. My teaching style is centered around patience, creativity, and breaking down complex ideas into clear, engaging lessons.

Outside of the classroom, I’m curious about almost everything—science, art, literature—and I love finding ways to link those to math. I also enjoy good conversations, problem-solving puzzles, and helping others see the beauty in topics they might find challenging. My goal? To inspire confidence and curiosity in every student I meet.

About the lesson

Welcome to today’s math lesson! My goal is to make this subject feel not just understandable but exciting for you. We’re going to explore Maths in a way that connects to the real world and sparks your curiosity.

I like to start with the why behind the math—why does it matter, and where do we see it around us? Then, we’ll dive into the how—breaking concepts into simple, manageable steps and working through examples together. There will be plenty of time for questions, discussion, and even a bit of problem-solving where you can try it out yourself.

Think of Maths not as something to memorize but as a tool you can use to solve problems, understand patterns, and think critically. My job is to guide you through the process and make it as fun and relatable as possible!
