My approach to tutoring is focused on building a strong foundation of understanding, making complex concepts accessible and enjoyable. I use a mix of techniques including visual aids, real-world examples, and step-by-step problem-solving methods to ensure that each student fully grasps the material. I adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s learning preferences, whether that’s through hands-on practice, interactive discussions, or breaking things down into smaller, manageable steps.
A typical lesson is 60 minutes, where we’ll review any challenging concepts, introduce new material, and work through practice problems together. At the end of each session, I provide extra exercises to reinforce what we’ve covered, ensuring students have enough practice to feel confident going forward.
I have experience tutoring Years P–12 maths, specialising in topics like algebra, geometry, trigonometry, and statistics. I also have a solid academic background and am currently studying Education. My goal is to help students build not only their skills but also their confidence in maths, setting them up for long-term success in school and beyond. My lessons are ideal for students who want to improve their understanding of maths, build problem-solving skills, and prepare for assessments.
