About Aven
Hello! I am a Math tutor with an MSc and over 4 years of experience helping more than 200 students at GCSE, A-Level, and university level. I cover the full Math curriculum and tailor every lesson precisely to the student's specific exam board and syllabus. I am particularly skilled in helping students who have struggled with Math for a long time rebuild their understanding and confidence from the foundations, and I take real pride in the consistent grade improvements and genuine mindset shifts my students achieve.

I teach Math with a diagnostic-first, understanding-led methodology. After identifying each student's specific gaps and misconceptions, I build a personalized teaching plan and work through it using a consistent three-stage cycle for every topic: clear and intuitive concept explanation, worked examples with fully narrated reasoning, and targeted independent practice with specific feedback. I emphasize genuine understanding over memorization at every stage, building the mathematical foundations that give students the flexibility to handle any question type confidently. Exam technique — structured working, efficient checking, time management, and extensive past paper practice with mark scheme analysis — is a major and ongoing focus throughout every series of sessions.
