My name is Daylan, and I am a dedicated and reliable Math, Chemistry, and Physics tutor committed to helping students achieve genuine understanding and academic confidence. About the lesson

My name is Daylan, and my tutoring approach focuses on building strong fundamentals, confidence, and problem-solving skills rather than memorisation. I begin each lesson by identifying the student’s current level and any gaps in understanding, then explain concepts step-by-step using clear language, real-world examples, and worked problems. I encourage students to ask questions freely and guide them through problems until they can solve them independently.

I use a structured yet flexible teaching method: short explanations, followed by guided practice and then independent problem-solving. For maths, physics, and chemistry, I focus on understanding formulas, visualising concepts, and applying methods correctly under exam conditions. Lessons can also include exam-style questions, homework help, and revision strategies tailored to the student’s syllabus.

Typical lessons run for 60 minutes, although longer sessions are available for exam preparation or intensive revision. Lessons can be online or in person, depending on the student’s preference.

I am currently a Chemical Engineering student at Monash University, with a strong background in mathematics, chemistry, and physics through high school and university-level coursework. My experience includes helping peers and junior students understand difficult concepts clearly and efficiently.

My lessons are suitable for Year 7–12 students, including VCE Maths, Chemistry, and Physics, as well as first-year university students needing support with foundational maths or science units. I aim to create a supportive learning environment where students feel confident, motivated, and capable of improving their results.
