About Corinna

I am an experienced educator with over 22 years of experience in Ontario elementary education, including 8.5 years as an elementary school principal. Throughout my career, I have worked as a classroom teacher, special education teacher, math lead, and student success coach.

I hold an Ontario teaching certificate. My experience has given me a strong understanding of how children learn and the different supports they need to reach their potential.

I am passionate about helping students develop strong foundational skills and confidence in their learning. I bring patience, encouragement, and a flexible approach to every lesson, recognizing that each child has their own strengths, challenges, and learning style.

I particularly enjoy working with students who need a little extra support to experience success. Seeing a child gain confidence, master a new skill, and begin to believe in their own abilities is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.

About the lesson

My tutoring lessons are personalized to meet each student's individual learning needs, strengths and interests. I begin by getting to know the student and assessing their current skills so that lessons are appropriately targeted and meaningful.

I provide supportive, engaging instruction in elementary literacy and mathematics, including reading, phonics, spelling, writing, number sense and math skills. Lessons incorporate explicit instruction, hands-on activities, games and opportunities for guided and independent practice.

I recognize that every child learns differently. My goal is to build foundational skills, strengthen understanding and, most importantly, develop confidence and a positive attitude toward learning.

Whether your child needs extra support, help catching up or enrichment to extend their learning, lessons are designed to help them experience success.
