About Sophie
I have a track record of being very academic, with 9A*s at GCSE, 3A*s & 1A at A level, and Distinctions in my BSc and MSc. I have been tutoring on and off for around a decade now so have good experience of knowing what works. My favourite subject has always been Maths, and I've gone down the Mathematical Biology route at uni, specialising in Mathematical Modelling Epidemiology. I want you to enjoy your lessons, and feel confident about your exams!

My Maths GCSE lessons are targeted towards the specific exam board you are doing, using past papers to practise, practise, practise. I use a traffic light system to work through past paper questions, teaching concepts as and when they crop up. I am methodical in my approach and ensure that we cover all areas we need to. And if there's something you are really struggling with, I will dedicate an entire lesson(s) to it. I want you to feel confident going into your exam, knowing exactly what to expect and how to approach any question. I find 1 hour lessons work best for most people. I have lots of private tuition experience in Maths, English and Piano, and also worked in the classroom for a tutoring company for over 5 years.
