About Alexandra

I’m Alix, an enthusiastic and creative teacher with experience across primary and secondary education up to Year 11 and GCSE, including History at IGCSE. I love helping students grow academically and personally, and I’m passionate about making learning fun, engaging, and meaningful. I want to teach because I know how much a supportive, inspiring teacher can change a student’s confidence and outlook. Having struggled with Maths as a child myself, I understand that learning isn’t one-size-fits-all, and I enjoy finding the right approach for each student. Seeing them gain confidence, understand tricky concepts, and enjoy learning is what drives me every day.

I know how it feels to find Maths tricky, as someone who struggled with it as a child, and I understand that everyone learns differently. I’ll help find the right method that works for you. I’ve taught students up to Year 11 and GCSE, so I know how to break down tricky concepts into steps that actually make sense. My lessons are creative, interactive, and tailored to your way of learning, helping you build confidence as well as skills. With me, Maths won’t just be about exams- it’ll be about understanding, improving, and actually enjoying the challenge. You’ll leave each lesson feeling proud, confident, and ready for the next step.
