About Nicole
I’m Nicole, a fashion graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design from Toronto Metropolitan University and additional fashion studies from Seneca College. I have over eight years of hands-on experience in sewing, garment construction, and the fashion industry. While I’m formally trained in design, much of my work is also self-taught—driven by curiosity, creativity, and the excitement of bringing new ideas to life. That blend of education and experimentation shapes the way I teach: practical, flexible, and truly inspired. I also have an extensive background in alterations and repairs. I’m passionate about helping people extend the life of their clothing—so many garments get discarded when they can be fixed, fitted, or completely reimagined. If you have a pile of clothing you’re unsure what to do with, I’d love to help you get creative and transform it into something you’ll wear again. In recent years, I’ve expanded into pattern making and now design and sell digital sewing patterns on Etsy. I know that working with patterns, especially as a beginner, can feel overwhelming. I break the process down step-by-step and guide you through everything from understanding markings to assembling your finished garment with confidence. Whether you’re learning to sew for the first time, improving your skills, or tackling a project that feels a little out of reach, I’m here to make the process clear, supportive, and fun.

Need help with your next sewing project? Whether you are looking to alter existing clothing, upcycle something old into something new, clone your existing wardrobe or start a new garment from scratch, let’s work together! I’m here to meet you where you are currently at in your sewing journey and provide personalized guidance.
My teaching approach is hands-on, supportive, and highly personalized. I break every sewing task down into simple, manageable steps and demonstrate techniques clearly so that students can follow along with confidence. I teach using real-life examples from my sewing practice, focusing on practical skills you’ll actually use. Whether you learn best visually, verbally, or by doing, I adapt my lessons to your pace and preferred learning style. My goal is to make sewing unintimidating, enjoyable, and easy to understand.
