About Amanda
I have a MA in World Languages, focused on teaching French, and English as a Foreign Language. I am originally from Canada, where I studied French in high school, and later spent 18 months as a full-time volunteer missionary in and around Paris, France. I returned to work at Disneyland Paris on a long-term seasonal contract a few years later. Through a number of visits, classes and student teaching during my graduate studies, and French-speaking friends, I have maintained comfortable fluency in both speech and writing.

I try to teach according to the personal needs and goals of my students. I love helping people connect through language and cultural understanding, and try to make foreign language as real and accessible as possible. Every individual has different aptitude for language learning, but I believe everyone with a desire can learn to communicate, and therefore connect with others in French.
