About Shyla

I am an experienced High School teacher with 5 years experience teaching the WA Mathematics Essentials Curriculum to a variety of Year 11-12 students and have helped numerous students achieve excellent results.

I have a thorough knowledge of grade descriptors and assessment requirements as well as differentiating Curriculum to various student needs. I can help students who are struggling with their Mathematics skills and application to develop effective study skills and break down difficult content. I can also help you to understand what you need to specifically target to improve your current grade.

About the lesson

Tutoring sessions on specific content/units of study will primarily run as personalised one-on-one lessons. I can also provide help with homework, test revision and assignments. Students will be given a free 20min consultation which will discuss areas of concern and study skills.

Tutoring sessions focused on units of study will follow traditional lesson format and are flexible and adaptive to your individual needs. You tell me what you'd like to focus on and I will build a personalised lesson for you that will help you build your knowledge in areas of weakness.

Sessions can range from 30-90mins.

I am also able to offer tutoring to Human Biology students at an ATAR and General level.
