Hi, I’m Mia. I’m a first-year student at McGill University with over 12 years of tennis experience and a deep love for the sport. Currently working toward my coaching certification, I specialize in teaching beginners and providing reliable hitting sessions for intermediate singles and doubles players of all ages. My lessons are patient, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs, with a focus on building strong fundamentals in a fun, motivating environment. Professional, punctual, and adaptable, I’m committed to helping every student improve their game and enjoy the process.

I teach tennis with a focus on building strong fundamentals and developing a love for the game. My coaching is based on simple, clear explanations paired with hands-on practice, ensuring that players understand the why behind each technique as well as the how.
A typical lesson begins with a light warm-up and basic drills to get the player moving and comfortable with the racquet. From there, we focus on one or two key technical elements (such as grip, stance, swing path, or footwork) using targeted drills to improve those skills. I like to finish with rallying or game-based activities so players can apply what they’ve learned in a fun, realistic setting.
What sets me apart is my patience, adaptability, and ability to connect with players of all ages. I believe learning should be enjoyable, and I adapt my approach to match each student’s personality and pace. As a sociable and encouraging coach, I create a comfortable environment where players feel confident to make mistakes and keep improving.
My lessons are designed for beginners of all ages, from kids picking up a racquet for the first time to adults discovering the sport later in life. I am also available to play in as a hitting partner in singles or doubles with intermediate-level players who want consistent, quality rally practice. I’m happy to travel to clients’ preferred courts, making lessons convenient and flexible.
