About Ray

Mr. Ray Olan has been producing adult, children's and teen programs for over 30 years. His background as an Orchestra leader, Educator, Pianist, Warner Channel Producer/Director and Musical Theater instructor for television and film make him the perfect choice for your drama and musical theater experience.

Age-appropriate lessons are being offered to allow you the student to explore historical & dramatic styles, and the elements of Television, Film and musical theater, through a variety of vocal, instrumental, rhythmic and creative performance activities. I am a competent instructor that will create an environment for Dramatic & Musical training based on trust, mutual respect, and passion for the arts.

Objectives of the program:

To help students develop an understanding and appreciation for the art form.

To explore the evolution of this form from its beginnings to the present.

To become acquainted with some of the literary sources of theater and live performance character building...

To analyze selections from a sampling of productions for auditioning and performance rehearsals.

To further develop vocal, memorization, monologue/ dialogue, and listening skills.

To reinforce the knowledge of the elements of theater.

To make connections with other arts and academic areas.

To help students understand how a story, dance, and music become the integral parts of your portral of the actor or actress you want to be

The King and I was my first experience with theatre.

This is where my passion for this art form began.

I lived in New York and my sister gad the same passion as she works on off-Broadway as a dancer in some musicals... I was her chaperon for 4 yrs at the age of 11. saw her make it to Broadway.

I developed a Musical Theater workshop for children which branched out to working with Disney, Warner Brothers, and Universal
