About Carmel

Acting is something you do for the sheer love of doing it. I have a B.S. in theatre art from EMU. I have worked with several acting coaches like Ferndales own Rich Goteri to the casting director of Tyler Perry's Have and Haves Not Shon Middlebrook and with the late Tommy Ford. I have directed and stage managed many shows. I have acted on t.v, in plays, and in independant films. I acted in Michigan for many years and brief stint Atlanta. I do offer professional self taping for any auditions you may need to submit to. So if you want to my this your career or hobby you come to the right person. I worked at a after school program and that wanted to integrate something new and I suggested have the students do a play. So that was the beginning of my acting teachings.

About the lesson

I start out with finding out where they are as an actor and where they want to be as an actor. With all my actor we start with a small scene and we work on getting beats to that scene. Then I have to pick a monologue of their choice and we work on mastering that so they can use it when auditioning. I also like to know is acting a hobby or a career choice so that I can better prepare a course structure for that individual.

I worked with adults that were cast on the same shows as myself. I worked with elementary students as young as second grade. I worked with seasoned actor to just starting out.

Everyone can be exactly what they want to be. You may not make any money doing it. You may not be as famous as the next person. But you will always be happy doing something that you love.

You can catch me in the Big Red Button at the Matrix theatre next month.

Self Tape auditons $15 for 15 minutes. $25 for 1/2 hours. includes editing and I send you a copy via email or wetransfer same day.

1 hour private acting coaches $40. I will have material available or we can work on something you have. I also offer coaching on a particaular role you want to audition for. If you want insight on the acting business. Ond you you are not getting roles we break down what you are dong or not doing so that you can get the parts you deserves.
