About Wendy

My service stands out in that I know everyone learns and memorizes material differently. I apply the knowledge of my masters in curriculum and instruction to assess how a person learns best and use theatre techniques that support them best. I utilize a strength based and student centered philosophy.

Seeing others achieve what they thought not possible.

Started as a substitute teacher in Topeka and taught youth classes at the civic theatre.

BGS in Theatre and Film with an Emphasis in Voice from the University of Kansas

MA in Curriculum and Instruction from UMKC

About the lesson

Discuss current experience, knowledge, and goals. Have students cold read to get a base line of where they are. Assign appropriate readings that highlight their strengths while working on other criteria. I follow a strength based process and use Gardner's Intelligences Theory.

All ages. From 3-5 year olds to college students.

You pay us. Never forget that. We give you our best advice, however you still get to make the decisions. Lastly, acting should always be fun, even at competitive levels.

Having a student come to me that was never able to get roles at her university. After a few sessions I received a message from her saying she got the role she wanted.

A few things worth thinking about before reaching out
Try to figure out how you learn best, what interests you have besides theatre, and any concerns you have.
