Christen is a fantastic teacher! She's not afraid to think outside of the box when teaching and is great at finding what works for each individual student. She tailors each lesson to her students and is extremely passionate about the work she does with them.

She is an absolutely wonderful teacher. Acting can be very emotional and sensitive, especially when it is a tough subject or your working very hard on a piece. She handles it with such kindness. She is honest, kind, supportive and incredibly talented. I have had the pleasure of working with her as my Acting teacher and also have watched her perform. Extremely encouraging. Brought out the best in me and my class mates. Really clear actions and pushed us to experiment which led to beautiful moments in scenes. Would take time out of her day to help me rehearse. Was always there if you needed advise or help for auditions and practicals. Helped me with an audition which I ended up getting the role for. I don’t think I would have been as lucky without her advise, tweaking and teaching. I still use her techniques today. The most pivotal point was she helped me believe in myself when I had started doubting myself.

In my entire college career I never had a teacher care so much about my personal development and helping me to hone my acting craft. Not only would she spend all of our class really involved with helping everyone she would schedule one-on-one coaching sessions outside of class with her students (which keep in mind she had 20 plus students, was a grad-student at the time, was in her own productions etc.) These one-on-one sessions were great, she helped me really develop a monologue I was working on. She helped me delve deeper into understanding the character, In that session I went from reciting words to actually understanding the character at a deeper level, which made the quality of my monologue deliverance a lot higher quality. And when my hour of scheduled one-on-one time was up she was completely open and happy to scheduling some more time with me.

She knew how to make you feel comfortable while being vulnerable! Her high energy and the enthusiasm is very contagious. She was also available for extra help and answered questions whenever I asked!
