About Amanda
During high school, I had an independent study in which, I was asked to lead some rehearsals. I fell in love with teaching from there. I love kids. I love passing my knowledge along. It allows others to create their own art to put out into the world.
I’ve been practicing acting for 18 years. Singing and dance for 17. I received a Bachelor’s degree in Drama and Music from Washington College in 2015. Prior to that, I studied theatre at a vocational school. Since then, I’ve managed a theatre arts studio and taught people from ages 3 through adulthood. I also have been performing in a range of acts from cabaret to plays to musicals. Most recently I produced and acted in an off-off Broadway production of Dog Sees God as CB’s Sister.

I will send out a form or email with a few questions to gauge where a student is in their journey, and what we need to cover. During our first lesson, we will cover the basics and talk about what their goals are. From there, I will develop a flexible lesson plan that allows for time to practice technique and pick out a few monologues, scenes and/or songs depending on the student’s goals.
I’ve worked with students starting at age 3 through adulthood. I also have worked with all types of voice parts and beginners to advanced students.
