About Megan

Acting Lessons & Music Lessons (voice, violin, viola, guitar, ukelele) from a licensed music teacher with 15+ years experience teaching and over 30 years experience performing on stage and 4 years performing on film.

Past: Concert master of Brigham Young University symphony orchestra; principal violist of Nebo Philharmonic. Lead actress in a commercial by Ogilvy advertising agency that has over a million views. Directed and produced local community theater with hundreds of amateur community actors, and wrote two plays. Currently an Actress at Evermore Park.

I love seeing students gain confidence in themselves and their talents as they learn and practice and perform in front of their family and others!

I studied teaching in college because I love teaching and performing the arts!

B.M. in Music Education, B.A. in English

30+ years stage performance experience (acting and music), 4 years film experience.

16+ years teaching experience in the arts

13 years live theater directing and producing experience in community theater.

Written and arranged and performed two musicals.

About the lesson

For any lesson, it’s important that the student studies songs/ scenes that they are interested in and think are fun to practice.

It’s also important for the student to make decisions in the lesson. That is the powerful and effective part of taking Individual lessons rather than in a group- the student has more say in the lessons and the curriculum.

If you take music lessons from me, you will be able to play at least one small song after only one string instrument lesson!

I’ve worked with and taught the arts to students and community members of all ages. I’ve also worked with ESL students and special needs students.
