About Tammy

I have low cost and I am accommadating as far as I can do in person or zoom. I can come to you or you come to me.

I have a passion for teaching and the Deaf community. i love to welcome anyone who want to learn ASL

I am currently a Special Education Teacher at a middle school. I have work in a Deaf and Hard of Hearing classroom and fell in love with ASL. I started taking classes and just kept going. ASL is a beautiful language.

I am currently finishing my A.A degree in Deaf studies. I have also worked in a Deaf and Hard of hearing classroom for a few years.

About the lesson

I get to know the student and their learning style. I do not go fast at all. I like to work at the students pace. I do not expect perfection. Leaning anything new takes time to develop proficiency.

I work with Special Edcuation students but I have also working in general education classrooms. I have taught ASL to adults as well.

Look for a teacher that has a true passion for teaching. Look for a teacher that has patience and is really willing to work with you to help you learn and improve your skills. There is no need to rush through it so look for a teacher that allows you to feel comfortable with each topic rather than moving on.
