I received an Honours B.Sc. in Math and I am currently pursuing an M.Sc. in Math. I treat every student with respect, kindness, and compassion. I use an active learning approach that engages students during the lesson and also implicitly teaches them learning skills that benefit them outside our lessons. Studies show that although students feel like they learn more during traditional lectures, they actually learn more and achieve higher grades with active learning. I use these techniques while teaching at the University of Toronto, and will use them in our tutoring sessions.
