About Dylan
I have played baseball my whole life. I played collegiately at Lassen Jr College in Susanville California and then transferred to Truett McConnell University and played for 3 years. After graduation, I became a special education teacher at Cambridge High School for 3 years. During my time there I helped coach our softball team to the 2016 7A state title with a record of 34-1 and coach our baseball team to 3 years of elite 8 finals. I now coach softball at Truett McConnell University and we are coming off back-to-back conference championships and world series appearances. Below is a list of my coaching accomplishments. I look forward to working with softball/baseball players who want to up their game to the best of their abilities.
· September 2017 – Present- Assistant Softball Coach/Recruiting coordinator. Accomplishments at Truett-McConnell University include:
o Help lead the team to the program’s first 30 & 40-win season in 2018 and 2019
o First regular-season championship in program history/ back to back conference champions 2018-2019
o First Conference tournament championship in program history
o Finished 43-16 in 2018
o Finished 42-11 in 2019
o Back to back NAIA World Series Opening Round appearances
o Job Duties include:
§ Outfield and Hitting Coach – Accomplishments:
· 2018 Season: Outfielders posted a .971 fielding percentage with the lowest number of errors in program history
· 2018 Season: Hitters posted a .301 overall average; up 10 points from the previous year; posted a .333 Conference average; up 33 points from the previous year. Averaged only 3.1 strikeouts per game
· 2019 Season: Outfields posted only 1 error in 53 games.
§ Appointment as Recruiting Coordinator - Responsible for all recruiting aspects for the program including succession planning, scouting, outreach, scholarship management, tryouts, player/parent consultations, campus visits, player showcases, player signings
§ Softball Camps – Responsible for organizing, advertising, managing and running a summer softball camp for 12-U to showcase the University’s program and generate interest in the game for future high school and college players by developing skills, teaching strategies and encouraging teamwork. The summer camp also serves as a fundraising effort for the program. Also the organization of the programs first prospect camp with 25 players showing up for the first one and getting 4 commitments for 2019 from the prospect camp.

· Georgia Dugout Club Softball Coach of the Year 2016-2017
· Appalachian Athletic Conference Coaching Staff of the year 2018 & 2019
I have been coaching baseball and softball for 6 years at the high school and college level. I have helped build successful programs with improvements in hitting and fielding.

For a new student, I found out what they want to get better at. If its hitting or fielding or both. I take time to see where the student is skill-wise and we have a discussion of what I think there can be improvements and we come up with a plan for those improvements.
I have worked with middle and high school-aged players.
