About Jacqueline
Hi there!
My name is Jacqueline and I am currently a student at Case Western Reserve University in the Masters of Medical Physiology program, in hopes of pursuing medical school thereafter. I received my PharmD degree in May 2021 from University of the Pacific Thomas J Long School of Pharmacy and have an extensive knowledge of biology-related topics.
I have tutored students in the past in Mathematics, English, and Biology, ranging from grades K-12. I now mainly specialize in Biology, AP biology, and pharmacy-related topics.
I completed my doctorate of Pharmacy degree in 2021, which required a lot of biology/body-system related knowledge and understanding.
I am also finishing my Masters in Medical Physiology at CWRU right now.
I previously tutored students at the Center for Community Involvement in Stockton, CA and I have also been a mentor at KUMON, gaining experience with all types of students/learning styles.

Typically, I like to figure out what their learning/studying style is (e.g. visual, auditory, etc) and go from there. I will ask the students to make a list of things that they may struggle with. We also will go through the chapters they are currently working on during the session to target challenging, high-yield material. I like to push my students to challenge themselves and actively recall material through practice problems, drawing out pathways, and more.

The typical grade level ranges from K-12, but mainly high school students working on biology or AP biology.
I would recommend seeing if you and your tutor are compatible. Make sure your teacher is challenging the student and promoting active learning. A teacher who can explain concepts well, keep students engaged and give good examples is also very beneficial.
