About Giselle
I will take the time to figure out how each student learns and tailor my tutoring efforts directly to how they will learn best.
Making children excited about learning and making them feel confident in their own abilities!
I have always been passionate about teaching and helping children or anyone to feel confident in asking for help and learning in a way that makes sense for them. I feel that the standard school system right now is not taking into account the various ways in which people learn so many student's fall through the cracks and do not receive the help they need. This can cause many self-confidence issues going forward and this is completely avoidable if they are given the opportunity to learn and given the encouragement to succeed.
I have been a tutor for many years. I have worked with all levels from elementary-aged students to high school students. I have worked with many of my students on their college applications and assisted them throughout that process as well. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology and am currently a pre medical student applying to medical school.

First, I assess the level they are at and ask them what their learning style is. I then adjust my tutoring plan based on what I think will be most beneficial for them. I then work on things that they are understanding well to create a sense of confidence within their own abilities before progressing to things they may be having more trouble in.
