We searched for a cello teacher in the middle of school year and Kaitlin was willing to work with us in finding the lesson time that fit our schedule. In my opinion, it is the most daunting time when students are just starting to learn their bow holds, but Kaitlin made the process challenging and fun. Our son learnt to hold his bow through catchy riddles and songs and he made a smooth transition into playing actual tunes. Kaitlin is full of unique ideas that keep our son occupied and interested. We like her teaching style that she is sweet but firm when she needs to be. Our son had his first concert last month and he may have missed a few notes but he had the best bow hold thanks to Kaitlin!

Kaitlin is a very effective teacher who brings a lot of energy to each lesson. She explains things well and in terms that make grasping abstract concepts more simple. She emphasizes progress and makes good judgement calls when determining advancing with skills. I highly recommend her as a private tutor.

Kaitlin has been a wonderful cello teacher to me. She has pushed me very hard and I have definitely seen an improvement in my cello skills. I have only been a student of Kaitlin' s for about 4 months and I have improved at a very fast rate. She does a recital for her students when they have reached the end of the book and she accompanies the student with her own cello and it sounds amazing. She gives her students experiences to perform for others and helps us gain confidence. I would most definitely recommend Kaitlin as a teacher. She is fantastic!

Kaitlyn has been awesome working with our daughter for the last several years and she is extremely patient with her (like when she doesn't want to practice! Lol) Kaitlyn really knows her stuff and really helps her students understand how music works. She does a great job at motivating her students to work hard and get better!
