About Celia
I will only teach what I know well.
I am just starting, but I have a good background in the subjects I will tutor.
I have a B.A. in Spanish Literature from Harvard-Radcliffe University, with some Master's classes in Library Science thrown in along the way. I'm currently working on an A.A. with Emphasis in Information Technology.
I have experience creating simple Web pages with CSS, HTML, and JavaScript. I've also worked with Unix for processing text files. I've worked with Perl and I'm currently learning Python, so I'm well familiar with the basic concepts of programming.
My English is very good to excellent, both written and spoken.
My background, at this point, would probably be best for students just starting out with computer science or programming concepts, reviewing basic Linux or Unix commands, help with reading or writing in English. I can help with basic JavaScript, Python, HTML and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets).
Seeing you learn. : ) Talking to you, getting to know you. Everyone has a story and a problem to solve. I like helping to solve those problems.
I don't have teaching experience. I've tutored students informally, but not professionally. However, I have years of education that have left me with excellent English language skills. I also have experience with light forms of computer programming (Perl, JavaScript, learning Python presently) and can teach the basic concepts.
